聲樂家

唐鎮(1936-2016),聲樂家、音樂教育家。出生於上海。1958、1964年先後畢業於義大利羅馬聖濟琪莉亞國立音樂院和維也納國立音樂院,後赴德國科隆國立音樂學院研習。1965-1969年間,於德國擔任專業聲樂演唱家。1970年應邀於中國文化學院(今中國文化大學)音樂學系執教,開啟國內演唱德國藝術歌曲之風潮,1973-1978年間任系主任之職,帶領師生製作全本歌劇、神劇及音樂會的演出,例如《唐懷瑟》、《德文安魂曲》等,皆為臺灣首演。1984年起,專職於國立藝術學院(今國立臺北藝術大學)至2006年退休。除教授聲樂、歌劇專題、德國藝術歌曲研究等課程外,每逢關渡藝術節與音樂學系春夏、秋冬樂展,皆參與策劃、指導,並參與演出。1992年中華民國聲樂家協會成立,擔任常務理事多年,對臺灣聲樂之推展貢獻卓越。

Renata TANG was born in Shanghai on June 15, 1936. She received degrees from the Music Conservatory of Santa Cecilia (Conservatorio Di Musica Santa Cecilia, Roma) and the Vienna Conservatory (now known as University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna; Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) in 1958 and 1964 respectively. She later pursued further studies at Cologne University of Music (Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln). Between 1965 and 1969 she worked as a professional singer in Germany. In 1970 she was invited to teach in the music department at Chinese Culture College (now known as Chinese Culture University). She also began the trend of performing whole opera and German lieder in Taiwan and directed the performances of many large-scale operas, oratorios, and concerts. TANG served as the chair of the music department of Chinese Culture University from 1973 to 1978. In 1984 she began teaching at the National Institute of the Arts (now known as Taipei National University of the Arts). There she taught courses such as voice, opera studies, and German lieder studies. She also planned, directed, and performed in seasonal concerts and in the Kuandu Arts Festival. She served as executive director of the Association of Vocal Artists of R.O.C. from its founding in 1992. She retired from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2006 but continued to teach as an adjunct professor. TANG died on March 23, 2016 at the age of eighty.
