林沖,本名林錫憲(1934生),歌手、演員。出生於臺南市。少年時期受蔡瑞月舞蹈啟蒙,於1955年獲得全國民族舞蹈大賽社會成人組甲等第二名,同年因參與電影《黃帝子孫》演出而踏入演藝界。1961年入日本大學藝術學部影劇科,9月因俊美外型與舞蹈基礎,得以參加寶塚劇場《香港》演出。1962年更與東寶電影簽約,因表現優異又獲得日本五家電視台演員合約。1964年跨足歌唱,由哥倫比亞唱片公司出版其首張唱片。1967年代表臺灣參加漢城第一屆亞洲歌謠比賽,獲得冠軍。1969年加入香港邵氏電影公司,拍攝《大盜歌王》等歌舞電影,大受歡迎,有「鑽石歌王」封號。1970-1980年代,長期於東南亞各地等地巡迴演出,為歌舞劇、電視劇、電影與唱片出版上的全方位藝人,代表歌曲有〈鑽石〉、〈故鄉之歌〉、〈幸福在這裡〉。

LIN, Jimmy (born Lin Hsi-Hsien in 1934) is a singer and actor. Born in Tainan city, Lin was influenced by the dance of Tsai Jui-Yueh in his youth. In 1955, he placed second grade-A of the adult division. In the same year, he entered the show business through his role in the film Descendants of the Yellow Emperor. In 1961, he enrolled into the Department of Theatre at Nihon University College of Art. That September, Lin landed a role in the Toho grand musical Hong Kong due to his handsome appearance and dancing skills. In 1962, Lin signed with Toho Corporation and landed contracts with five major TV stations because of his outstanding performances. In 1964, Lin released his first record with Nippon Columbia (日本コロムビア). In 1967, he represented Taiwan in South Korea’s first Asian Singing Grand Contest in Seoul and placed first in it. In 1969, he joined the Shaw Brothers to shoot musical films including such as The Singing Thief where he played the leading role. The film’s huge success and his popularity garnered him the nickname “Diamond Divo”. From the 1970s to the 1980s, he even toured all over Southeast Asia. Lin is regarded as a versatile entertainer who is known for his musicals, TV dramas, movies and records. Some of Lin’s most notable songs include “Diamond”, “Song of My Homeland” and “I Found My Happiness Right Here”.
