金希文（1957生），作曲家、指揮家。出生於雲林縣斗六鎮（今雲林縣斗六市）。5歲由父親啟蒙鋼琴，之後隨陳美滿繼續學習。先後畢業於日本橫濱市立港中學、橫濱市立商業高等學校，期間曾隨武藏野音大教授學習鋼琴。後赴美就讀，獲得拜歐拉大學音樂系鋼琴與作曲雙學士、伊士曼音樂學院鋼琴與作曲雙碩士以及作曲博士。曾任日本優笛亞交響樂團指揮，現任音契合唱管絃樂團指揮暨音樂總監，並為其創作一系列合唱管弦樂作品，定期發表演出，以音樂創作回應基督之信仰。目前為國立臺灣師範大學音樂學系專任教授。2017年，榮獲第二十屆國家文藝獎。金希文不斷思索創作的內涵以及「身為臺灣作曲家」理應展現的特質，代表作品有《鋼琴協奏曲》、《雙協奏曲》、《三重協奏曲》。

CHIN, Gordon Shi-Wen （born 1957） is a composer and conductor. He was born in Yunlin, Taiwan and began taking piano lessons from his father at the age of five. He completed his high school studies in Japan and his undergraduate studies in the United States. He obtained a Bachelor's degree with a double major in piano and composition from Biola University, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition from the Eastman School of Music. Chin is a member of the faculty at the National Taiwan Normal University and the director of music at YinQi Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. He is also the recipient of the twentieth National Cultural and Arts Award. In 2007 and 2015, Naxos published the albums, Formosa Seasons for Solo Violin and Strings and Cello Concerto No.1. Chin’s main compositions include Symphony No. 4 （1995）, Formosa Seasons for Solo Violin and Strings （2000）, Violin Concerto No. 3 （2007）, Opera Mackay - The Black Bearded Bible Man （2008）, Piano Concerto No. 1 （2009） and Triple Concerto （2012）.
