林竹岸（1936生），歌仔戲文場樂師、劇團經營者。出生於雲林元長。自幼師承有自，以歌仔戲為終身職志。15歲起，向李比學習大廣弦，並隨錦花興歌劇團到各地演出，後加入臺中錦玉己歌劇團，從文場二手弦晉升演奏頭手弦。成年後輾轉待過數個內臺戲班，累積多樣演奏經驗。1970年成立民權歌劇團，成為大臺北地區極受歡迎的外臺戲班，民戲及文化場兼演，直至今日仍持續運作。2006年獲頒臺北市歌仔戲觀摩匯演優良樂師獎；2010年獲頒臺北縣傳統藝術藝師獎，並正式登錄為傳統藝術類文化資產。2018年獲選文化部人間國寶：「歌仔戲後場音樂」重要傳統表演藝術保存者，2020年獲新北市文化獎。林竹岸是臺灣歌仔戲發展與變遷的重要見證者，精通多種曲調與不同韻味的演奏技巧，為歌仔戲重要國寶級樂師。

LIN Zhu-An is a famous Taiwanese gezaixi opera musician and theater operator born in Yunlin County’s Yuanchang Township on Jan. 8, 1936. Self-taught, he has been devoted to gezaixi his entire life and is an important figure in witnessing the changes and development of the gezaixi tradition in Taiwan. In 1970, Lin formed the Minchuan Gezaixi Opera Troupe, which he still manages today. The troupe was selected as the top organization three times to be part of the Council of Cultural Affairs’ “Project to Support Developing Organizations in the Arts”. Lin was awarded as Taipei County Folk Artists Award in 2010, and was officially recognized as one of the Traditional Art Preserver.
