林福裕(1931-2004),音樂教育家、作曲家、電視廣告音樂人。出生於臺北木柵。1946年起考入臺灣省立臺北師範學校(今國立臺北教育大學)普通科,1948年轉入甫增設的音樂科,隨沈炳光學習合唱、作曲、指揮。1951年畢業後任教臺北巿福星國民小學,五年後創立福星國小合唱團,投入兒童合唱教學,並師事呂泉生學習聲樂。擔任榮星合唱團(1960-1967)等多團指導老師,組織幸福男聲合唱團(1963)和幸福唱片公司(1963),1969年創立臺北兒童合唱團(今臺北基督教兒童合唱團),經常領隊出國巡迴演唱,足跡遍及三十餘國。在創作方面,致力於臺語歌曲的創作,本著關懷本土文化,特別是唸謠的創新,例如〈點仔膠〉等;廣告歌曲〈乖乖〉、〈綠油精〉等,亦是膾炙人口。曾獲社會教育貢獻獎(1971)、教育部文藝獎章(1972)。
LIN Fu-Yu was a music educator, composer and TV commercial musician. He was born in Taipei's Muzha District on Nov. 19, 1931 and died in Seattle, Washington on Jun. 18, 2004. After graduating from Taipei Teacher's College, he devoted his life to teaching choral music to children. Lin studied with Lu Chuan-sheng. He served as conductor and instructor for several choirs throughout his lifetime. Lin also wrote music for TV commercials, many of which are still quite popular. In his later years, Lin wrote Taiwanese (also known as Hoklo) songs, which were filled with a nativist quality that showed concern for Taiwan and received innumerable accolades. He received the Social Education Contribution Award and the Ministry of Education's Literature and Art Award in music category.
