楊三郎(1919-1989),本名楊我成,流行歌曲創作者。出生於臺北廳永和庄(今臺北市永和區)。臺北日新公學校四年級參加軍樂隊擔任小號手,開啟他音樂的一生。1937年,到日本拜師清水茂雄,學習理論作曲,並練就小號吹奏的精湛技巧。之後歷練服部良一、中國東北舞廳等的實務經驗。1947年,受呂泉生之邀,於臺灣廣播電臺表演,並鼓勵他創作,第一首歌曲〈望你早歸〉即大受歡迎。1949年與許石合出《台灣爵士歌選》,創下戰後爵士歌集的記錄,收錄了代表歌曲〈苦戀歌〉、〈港都夜雨〉等。1952-1965年組黑貓歌舞團,巡迴全臺。之後回歸樂師的身分,並創作不懈,〈思念故鄉〉、〈秋風夜雨〉等皆是經典之作,為戰後第一代傑出的歌曲創作者,喜以和聲小音階綴以藍調節奏,開創嶄新的臺語流行歌曲風格。
YANG San-Lang (a. k. a. YANG Wo-Cheng) was a renowned Taiwanese songwriter. He was born in Yonghe, Taipei (now Yonghe District in New Taipei City) on Oct. 18, 1919 and died on May 25, 1989. Yang studied theoretical composition with Shigeo Shimizu in Japan, and worked in various musical circles in Taiwan as a songwriter, using elegant and graceful melodies to depict the various emotions of life. In 1952, he formed the Black Cat Song and Dance Troupe, which was a popular music and dance group during that period, writing its own songs and dances. Their most representative songs include "Longing for Your Early Return" ("bāng-lí-tsá-kui") and "Autumn Wind on A Rainy Night" ("tshiu-hong-iā-hōo").
