陳秀枝（1934-2011），歌仔戲藝人。出生於嘉義。著名旦角演員，以武旦著稱，文武雙全。26歲進入臺北龍霄鳳歌劇團，受到團主許多文戲的訓練，並跟著留臺海派京劇演員潘文煥與王秋甫學戲，更是王秋甫唯二所收的兩位女弟子之一。1964年隨臺南牡丹桂歌劇團出國公演，40歲時於艋舺整外臺班永春風歌劇團，後改名為秀枝歌劇團，為團長與當家苦旦，以《送京娘》、《趙匡胤走關西》為代表武戲，是北部頗富盛名的外臺戲班。淡出舞臺後，仍偶爾應邀參加外臺文化場公演。1992年，秀枝歌劇團的招牌戲《趙匡胤千里送京娘》獲得地方戲劇比賽七個獎項，陳秀枝本人獲得最佳導演獎。2003年，協助國立傳統藝術中心執行「戲說．說戲：內臺歌仔戲口述劇本整理計畫」，實踐薪傳與教學。

CHEN Xiu-Zhi was born in Chiayi in 1934. A renowned singer of the dan traditional opera role, she was most famous for her martial dan performances, yet she was adept at performing both martial and civil dan roles. At the age of 26, she started training with Xu Duo-Wen in Taipei’s Long Xiao Feng Opera Ensemble. In 1964, she traveled abroad with Tainan’s Peony Cassia Opera Troupe to perform. At the age of 40, she joined the well-known outdoor opera troupe Yong Chun Feng in Wanhua, which later changed its name to Xiu-Zhi Opera Troupe. After retiring from the stage, Chen would still make rare appearances at outdoor performances. She died on Jan. 2, 2011.
