吳漪曼（1931-2019），鋼琴家、音樂教育家。出生於江蘇無錫。父親吳伯超終身奉獻於音樂教育事業，因此也影響了吳漪曼。1947年，考入上海的國立音樂院，專攻鋼琴；1948年底，隨母親來到臺灣，1949年父親乘太平輪遇難身亡。同年進入臺灣省立師範學院（今國立臺灣師範大學）音樂系，拜張彩湘為師。1950-1961年間，她至美國、西班牙及比利時深造，專攻鋼琴。1961年應臺灣母校之邀，任教於師大音樂學系至1998年退休。1969年與同為音樂家的蕭滋（Robert Scholz）結為連理，二人對於臺灣的古典音樂發展影響深遠，將歐洲的音樂教育觀念帶進臺灣，迅速與西方世界接軌，培育無數英才，貢獻卓越。吳漪曼終其一生奉獻己力於音樂學子，溫柔守護蕭滋，雖因著大時代的動盪，但皆本著天主的慈愛，為推動臺灣音樂發展的重要人物之一。

WU E-Mane was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu in 1931. Her father Wu Bo-Chao, was a dedicated music educator, which had a major impact on her. In 1947, she was accepted into the National Music Academy, majoring in piano. At the end of following year, she came to Taiwan with her mother, majoring in music at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), studying piano with Zhang Cai-Xiang. After two years, she decided to study abroad in the US. In 1955, Wu started studying with J. Cubeles, and in 1961 she returned to Taiwan from Italy, teaching in NTNU’s music department, embarking on a long and illustrious career in Taiwan as a music educator.
