劉福助(1940),本名劉子騰,新北市中和區人,臺灣重要的臺語歌手與詞曲創作者,被譽為「民謠歌王」。其創作以臺灣庶民生活為題材,擅長將地方俗諺、俚語與口語節奏融入歌詞之中,形成高度生活化、敘事感鮮明的音樂風格。他出身清苦家庭,父親為皮鞋師傅,早逝後家計頓失依靠,使他自少年時期便投入歌唱工作,於電臺現場節目與巡迴演唱中累積實力。1959 年錄製首張唱片〈丟丟咚〉,正式進入歌壇。1967 年獨立完成《安童哥買菜》專輯,結合民俗趣味與市井觀察,引起廣泛回響,奠定其在臺語歌壇的重要地位;其後數十年,劉福助持續創作與演出,橫跨唱片、廣播、電視與電影領域,並以《十憨》、《24 節氣》等專輯獲得金鼎獎、金曲獎肯定。近年仍活躍於舞台,展現跨世代的文化影響力,是兼具傳統精神與創新意識的國寶級臺語藝人。

LIU Fu-Zhu (b. 1940), known by his birth name Liu Tzu-Teng, is a Taiwanese Hokkien singer-songwriter from Zhonghe, New Taipei City. Widely recognized as the “King of Folk Ballads,” he is known for incorporating local proverbs, colloquial expressions, and elements of everyday Taiwanese life into his songs, creating a distinctive vernacular musical style. Liu began his singing career in his teens through radio performances and touring concerts. In 1959, he released his first recording, Diu Diu Dong. His 1967 album An Tong-Ge Goes Grocery Shopping established his reputation in Taiwanese popular music. Over the decades, he has remained active in music, television, and film, receiving major honors including the Golden Tripod Awards and the Golden Melody Awards. He is regarded as an important figure in the preservation and innovation of Taiwanese-language music.
