盧亮輝（1938），作曲家、演奏家，出生於印尼，祖籍福建永定。自幼受閩南語文化與民間音樂薰陶，早年學習鋼琴啟發其創作興趣。赴中國求學，畢業於天津音樂學院作曲系，師事張筠青、許勇三、廖勝京等人。文革期間深入農村採風，使其作品兼具民族情感與生活氣息。1973年移居香港，任職香港中樂團，創作《春》、《夏》、《秋》、《冬》《酒歌》《鬧花燈》等大型合奏曲，為中樂交響化的重要推手。1986年遷居臺灣後，歷任高雄市國樂團作曲工作，臺北市立國樂團演奏組副組長、副指揮，中國文化大學中國音樂學系助理教授，其間創作多首具地方意象的作品，如《港都之春》、《鵝鑾鼻之春》、《愛河暢想曲》、《西子灣之戀》等。盧亮輝的創作橫跨合奏、協奏、舞劇與戲曲領域，其音樂融合中西語彙與民間素材，於2025年榮獲第24屆國家文藝獎。

LO Leung-Fai (b.1938) is a composer and performer, born in Indonesia with ancestral roots in Yongding, Fujian. Immersed from an early age in Minnan-language culture and folk music, he began studying the piano in his youth, which sparked his interest in musical composition. He later pursued formal training in China, graduating from the Composition Department of the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, where he studied under Zhang Junqing, Xu Yongsan, and Liao Shengjing. During the Cultural Revolution, he conducted extensive fieldwork in rural areas, an experience that endowed his works with a strong sense of ethnic expression and lived experience. In 1973, Lo relocated to Hong Kong and joined the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, composing large-scale ensemble works such as Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Drinking Song, and Festive Lanterns, and becoming an important proponent of the symphonization of Chinese orchestral music. After moving to Taiwan in 1986, he served as composer-in-residence for the Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra, and later as deputy section head and associate conductor of the Taipei Chinese Orchestra, as well as assistant professor in the Department of Chinese Music at Chinese Culture University. During this period, he composed numerous works inspired by local landscapes and cultural imagery, including Kaohsiung Rhapsody, Spring at Eluanbi, Love River Rhapsody, and Song of Sizihwan. His oeuvre spans ensemble, concerto, dance, and theatrical music, integrating Chinese and Western musical vocabularies with folk materials. In 2025, he was awarded the 24th National Award for Arts.
