申學庸（1919），聲樂家、音樂教育家。出生於四川江安。1944年就讀重慶師範學院，與楊樹聲學習聲樂。1945年抗戰勝利後，進入成都藝專音樂科就讀。1950年定居臺灣，並於師大附中任教。之後申學庸隨丈夫郭錚一起到了日本，進入東京藝術大學學習聲樂，拜義大利名聲樂家狄娜‧諾泰賈珂瑪夫人為師，並隨老師至義大利深造。回臺後，投入音樂教育。1957年成為國立臺灣藝術專科學校音樂科創科主任。1962年，擔任中國文化學院音樂學系創系主任。榮獲多項國家級之重要獎項，例如廣播電視金鐘獎、金鼎獎等，亦常擔任各大音樂比賽評審，並對音樂外交活動盡心盡力。1993年受命擔任文建會主委。1995年獲頒國家文藝獎之特別貢獻獎。2001年國立交通大學授予名譽博士學位。2009年獲聘為總統府國策顧問，對音樂教育、行政事務與推廣工作貢獻卓越。

SHEN Hsueh-Yung (b. 1919) is a vocalist and music educator. Born in Jiang'an, Sichuan, she attended Chongqing Teachers College in 1944, where she studied vocal music with Yang Shu-sheng. In 1945, after the victory of the War of Resistance, she entered the Music Department of the Chengdu School of Art. In 1950, she settled in Taiwan and taught at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University. Later, Shen Hsueh-yung accompanied her husband, Kuo Cheng, to Japan, where she entered the Tokyo University of the Arts to study vocal music under the renowned Italian vocalist Madame Dina Notargiacomo, subsequently following her mentor to Italy for further advanced studies. Upon returning to Taiwan, she dedicated herself to music education. In 1957, she became the founding Director of the Music Department at the National Taiwan Academy of Arts. In 1962, she served as the founding Chair of the Department of Music at Chinese Culture University. She frequently served as a judge for major national awards, such as the Golden Bell Awards and the Golden Tripod Awards, and devoted herself to musical diplomacy. In 1993, she was appointed Chairperson of the Council for Cultural Affairs. In 1995, she was presented with the Special Contribution Award of the National Cultural and Arts Awards. In 2001, National Chiao Tung University conferred upon her an honorary doctorate. In 2009, she was appointed as a Senior Advisor to the President, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to music administration.
