任蓉（1940生），女高音。出生於四川成都。父親任賢，為抗日戰爭中犧牲的飛行烈士。由母親尹瑞先辛苦撫養長大。1948隨空軍撤退大隊來到臺灣，入臺中空軍子弟小學就讀一年級，小學三年級被老師發現音樂天才，給予學習音樂的基礎。自幼即展現過人的歌唱才華，1953進入臺灣省立臺中女子中學就讀受到畢業自師大音樂系的老師宋世謙的鼓勵和盡心教導，1959進入臺灣省立師範大學音樂系（現國立臺灣師範大學）就讀，自此開啟歌唱的旅程，同時在臺北衛理女中實習。1965年考取歐洲留學考試，赴義大利深造。1968年畢業於羅馬聖‧且琪利亞（Conservatorio S.Cecilia di Musica）音樂院，考入羅馬音樂研究院(Accademia S. Cecilia di Musica, Roma)攻讀研究課程。並展開二十餘年的歌劇舞台演唱生涯。1993年返臺後，積極推展國際歌唱交流活動、創辦「世華聲樂大賽」、「任蓉表演藝術學坊」，擔任會長，負責主辦、籌畫音樂會，提供專業演出機會，為提攜後輩不餘遺力。藉由大師班、講座、執筆論述等方式，傳揚美妙的演唱世界。2008年獲得義大利奧托納市獲耶路撒冷聖約翰聖殿騎士團頒贈「女騎士」勳章，以表彰其專業及音樂藝術上的傑出成就及傳揚崇高的文化價值。
REN Rong (Jenny Ren)（b.1940), soprano. Born in Chengdu, Sichuan. Her father, Ren Xian, was a pilot martyr who sacrificed his life in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. She was raised with great hardship by her mother, Yin Ruixian. In 1948, she followed the Air Force retreat units to Taiwan and enrolled in the first grade of Taichung Air Force Subsidiary Elementary School. In the third grade, her music talent was discovered by her teacher, who provided her with a foundation for learning music. She demonstrated extraordinary singing talent since childhood. In 1953, she entered Taiwan Provincial Taichung Girls' High School and received encouragement and dedicated teaching from teacher Song Shiqian, a graduate of the Department of Music at Normal University. In 1959, she entered the Department of Music at Taiwan Provincial Normal University (now National Taiwan Normal University), beginning her singing journey, and interned at Taipei Wesley Girls' High School upon graduation. In 1965, she passed the European study abroad examination and went to Italy for further studies. In 1968, she graduated from the Conservatorio S. Cecilia di Musica in Rome and was admitted to the Accademia S. Cecilia di Musica, Roma to pursue postgraduate courses, embarking on an opera stage career spanning over twenty years. After returning to Taiwan in 1993, she actively promoted international vocal exchange activities, founded the "World Chinese Vocal Competition" and the "Ren Rong Performing Arts Studio," and served as president, responsible for organizing and planning concerts and providing professional performance opportunities, sparing no effort to mentor younger generations. Through masterclasses, lectures, and writings, she spreads the wonderful world of singing. In 2008, she was awarded the "Dame" medal by the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem in Ortona, Italy, in recognition of her outstanding achievements in professional and musical art and her promotion of noble cultural values.
