陳樹熙(1957生),指揮家、作曲家。1972年開始隨林運玲學習鋼琴,準備聯考期間並未中斷音樂接觸,1979年畢業於國立臺灣大學外文系,1982年考取國立維也納音樂學院。1985年返臺,曾擔任國家音樂廳交響樂團助理指揮,臺灣省立交響樂團(今國立臺灣交響樂團)副指揮、副團長,1999至2007年擔任高雄市交響樂團團長。2008年至2011年擔任臺北市立交響樂團副團長,隨後應邀擔任國立臺灣交響樂團副研究員、副團長,2013年8月轉赴國立臺南藝術大學應用音樂學系擔任副教授,2015年擔任系主任。2016年接任臺北市立交響樂團團長,陳樹熙以其藝術行政之長才推動臺灣音樂環境之發展,並以音樂評論對當下的音樂趨勢進行針砭並提出建議,於創作、樂團經營與教學方面積極表達與實踐己身的音樂理念。
CHEN Shu-Si, born in 1957 in Taiwan, is a composer and conductor. CHEN received degrees from the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of National Taiwan University and from the Vienna Conservatory (now known as the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna; Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien). He served as assistant conductor for the National Symphony Orchestra and associate conductor and Vice-General Director for the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. Between 1999 and 2007 he was the General Director for Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra and between March 2003 and March 2011, the vice-General Director of Taipei Symphony Orchestra. Later he was invited to serve as associate researcher and Vice-General Director for National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In August 2013 he took the teaching position of associate professor in the applied music department at Tainan National University of Arts and in 2015 served as the department chair. In 2016 CHEN accepted the position of the General Director of Taipei Symphony Orchestra.
