陳美鸞（1944生），鋼琴家、音樂教育家。出生於苗栗頭份，家中為書香門第，1958年開始學琴，師事張彩湘，為影響她音樂路的關鍵人物之一。中學時期就讀北二女（現為中山女子高級中學），因有志於音樂，1963年考入臺灣省立師範大學（今國立臺灣師範大學）音樂學系，隨張彩湘學琴，1968年以第一名畢業。之後留美12年，取得辛辛那提大學音樂院音樂藝術博士，並且熱衷音樂學術研究，在美期間於麻薩諸塞州渥斯特表演藝術學校擔任講師。1983年返臺，先任教於東吳大學音樂系、國立藝術學院（今國立臺北藝術大學）音樂學系。除定期舉行個人鋼琴獨奏會，還出版著作包括《舒伯特鋼琴變奏技巧之運用》及《鋼琴變奏曲之藝術》等書。鋼琴演奏、教學與學術研究併重，指導後進不遺餘力，造福臺灣鋼琴學子。

Chen Mei-luan, pianist and music educationist, was born in 1944 in a literary family in Miaoli. Her childhood experience of learning the piano from Chang Tsai-hsiang was to have a profound influence on her career as a piano artist. Upon graduation from NTNU Music Department, Chen pursued advanced study in the USA for twelve years and became passionate about academic research after she received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Since she came back to Taiwan, Chen has embraced a career balancing piano performance, teaching and research, and consequently she has benefited numerous piano learners in Taiwan by sparing no efforts in training aspiring musicians.
