陳秋盛（1942-2018），指揮家。出生於新竹市。1964年起入德國海德堡音樂院、慕尼黑音樂院，主修小提琴；1971年受教於維也納指揮大師史瓦洛夫斯基，1973年回臺後，亦接受蕭滋的指揮教導。1978年擔任臺北市立交響樂團副團長與常任指揮，積極結合「臺北市藝術季」與各大國際級音樂家合作，於1986-2003年間，更同時擔任團長與指揮，曲目廣泛多元，從巴洛克時期到二十世紀當代樂曲，亦積極推廣歌劇，甚至創下全臺第一位將歌劇以戶外演出的方式呈現，打造臺北市卓越的音樂文化形象，更帶領樂團於美、奧及法等國演出，建立國際聲譽，為臺灣最活躍的指揮家之一。對於教學亦充滿熱情，慧眼於提攜後輩不遺餘力，例如呂紹嘉、劉孟捷及黃心芸等，2003年後更於臺灣各音樂學系授課，傳承於年輕世代，可謂一代指揮大師。

Chen Chui-sheng, born in 1942 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, is a conductor. Chen studied in Germany at Heidelberg Conservatory of Music and Munich Conservatory of Music, majoring in violin, and also learned conducting from maestro Austrian conductors Hans Swarowsky and Robert Solz. Chen was the conductor of Taipei Symphony Orchestra in 1978-2003 and has made invaluable contributions to promoting classical music in Taiwan as well as being one of the most active Taiwanese conductors in the international community.
