郭聯昌（1954生），指揮家。出生於臺中縣大甲鎮。家庭相當重視音樂，小學開始學習鋼琴，嶄露音樂天分。就讀初中時參加樂團，即決定走音樂之路。1974年考進東吳大學音樂學系，主修長笛。指揮隨徐頌仁學習，在學期間參與當時的中廣國樂團、臺北市立交響樂團等，結識不少樂界好手，如張大勝、陳澄雄等，成為他日後的重要人脈與推手。1980年，留學法國巴黎師範音樂學院期間，成立國際管弦樂團，創留法音樂學生之紀錄。1987年返臺，任教於輔仁大學音樂學系，並於1998-2001年間擔任系主任，2019年退休。亦擔任臺北市立國樂團、國防部示範樂隊之指揮等。全心投入臺灣指揮人才的培育，為學子貢獻一己之長。於1989年獲教育部頒發社會教育貢獻獎，1992年獲教育部頒發特優教師獎，為臺灣指揮界重要人物之一。

Kuo Lien-chang, born in 1954 in Dajia, Taichung, is a conductor and educator. In his student days, Guo had established strong connections with Taipei Symphony Orchestra, Lion Winds Symphony, and BCC Chinese Orchestra. Later on, while studying at ÉCOLE NORMALE DE MUSIQUE DE PARIS in France, he became the first Taiwan student to found an international orchestra. Guo teaches at Department of Music, Catholic Fu-jen University and serves as advisor to MND Symphony Orchestra and musical performing groups affiliated to colleges and universities, including the National Taipei University of Education.
