李子聲（1965生），作曲家。出生於臺北市。4歲開始在父母的啟蒙下學習鋼琴，1975年就讀臺北市福星國小音樂班，之後進臺北市南門國中音樂班、師大附中音樂班，為臺灣第一代完整音樂教育實驗班的代表，之後進入國立藝術學院（今國立臺北藝術大學）音樂學系。1990年赴美求學，就讀於美國波士頓大學作曲碩士班，師事Theodore Antoniou、Lukas Foss。1992年獲William Penn全額獎學金就學於賓夕法尼亞大學作曲博士班，師事Richard Wernick、George Crumb，1996年取得博士學位。現為國立交通大學音樂研究所兼任副教授，除了教學之外，亦積極從事音樂創作，他的思想縝密，對音樂結構的鋪陳頗富想像力，作品類型豐富多元，並多次於國內外獲獎。代表作品有1990年絲竹四重奏《冥˙主》、1991年女高音及四件樂器的《亡國詩一》，與1996年長笛協奏曲《上臺˙下臺》等。

Lee Tzyy-Sheng, born in 1965 in Taipei, was inspired by his parents to start learning the piano at the age of 4, and went to classes for musical talents at Fuxing Elementary School, Nanmeng Junior-high School, and NTNU affiliated Senior High School. Suffice to say that Li represents the first generation of students educated in the experimental classes for musical talents. Later on he was admitted to Department of Music, National Taipei University of Arts. In 1990, Li was admitted to master’s program at Boston University, learning composition from Theodore Antoniou and Lukas Foss. In 1992, he went to study composition on full William Penn scholarship under a doctorate program at University of Pennsylvania, learning from Richard Wernick and George Crumb, and got his PhD in 1996. Li currently is associate professor cum Director of Institute of Music of the National Chia Tung University as well as chairperson of Taiwan Modern Music Association. Besides teaching, Li is also active in creating music. As a meticulous thinker, Li is creative with the structural deployment of his musical works, which cover orchestra, dance and opera as well a wide variety of camber music, solo music, vocal music and choral music, and has won numerous domestic and international awards.
