低音管演奏家

徐家駒(1949生),低音管演奏家。出生於浙江省定海縣,未滿周歲即隨父母來臺。1964年考入臺灣省立屏東高級中學,受學校音樂老師啟蒙,引領進入音樂天地。1975年畢業於國立臺灣藝術專科學校(今國立臺灣藝術大學)管樂組,1977年前往德國德特摩國立西北德音樂學院進修,主修低音管。1984年返臺,先後擔任臺北市立交響樂團低音管首席、國立臺灣師範大學音樂學系專任教授、市交團長及真理大學音樂應用學系系主任。積極參與室內樂演出,如臺北木管五重奏,及編寫低音管合奏教材、出版《低音管指法研究》,名列華人低音管經典教材;成立徐家駒低音管室內樂團,積極推廣低音管至今,其在音樂演奏、音樂行政與音樂教育上之貢獻卓越,於1988年及2005年兩度獲選為國立臺灣藝術大學傑出楷模校友。

Hsu Chia-chu, born in 1949 in Dinghai, Zhejiang, is a bassoonist. Hsu graduated with major in wind instruments from National Taiwan College of Arts, and bassoon-major from Detmold-Musik übertragung, Germany. Hsu had worked as lead bassoon, Vice-director and Director of Taipei Symphony Orchestra as well as a member of Taipei Woodwind Quintet, Taipei Soloist Ensemble, and Hsu Gia-gu Bassoon Ensemble. Hsu has compiled teaching materials for bassoon ensemble, of which Studies on Finger Exercises in Bassoon is regarded as a classical Bassoon teaching material for the Chinese. Hence his significant contributions to promoting Bassoon music. Hsu is currently Director of Department of Applied Music, Aletheia University.
