游昌發 YU Chang-Fa 作曲家 返回

游昌發,1942年出生廣東省潮陽縣。1969及1979年兩度留學奧地利於國立維也納音樂院學習作曲,回國後先後於國立藝專、輔仁大學及國立藝術學院音樂系及傳音系任教,讓原本就重視傳統音樂的游昌發有機會更清楚地了解傳統音樂,包括南管、北管、古琴、琵琶和古詩吟唱等,作品無論於技法、配器、音色與各種中、西思維之融合與運用,均展現了其文化底蘊的成熟度。

YU Chang-Fa, born in 1942 in Chaoyang, Guangdong, studied composition at the National Vienna Conservatory of Music in 1969 and 1979. Afterwards, he has taught at department of music and department of Chinese music at the National Taiwan College of Arts and Catholic Fujen University and the National Taipei College of Arts. Such experiences have afforded him a proper understanding of traditional Chinese music across genres like Nanguan, Beiguan, Qin, Pipa, and classical poem chanting. YU’s musical works are rooted in a sophisticated cultural heritage, which is often manifested in the techniques, arrangements, and tones as well as his various applications of both Chinese and Western concepts.
