王沛綸，作曲家、音樂文字作家；1908 年 3 月 1 日出生於江蘇吳縣，1972 年 11 月 8 日逝世於臺北。十五歲考上蘇州中學，開始接受中西音樂；爾後進入國立音樂院，主修小提琴。1949年底來臺，先後出版《愛國歌集》、《音樂辭典》、《戲曲辭典》、《名歌劇主題》、《指揮學》等。其中《音樂辭典》可謂為中國近代第一部完整而實用的音樂工具書。他本身也是國樂界的箇中好手，除了精湛的二胡琴藝，國樂創作曲也別具一格。
WANG Pei-Lun was born in Wu, Jiangsu in 1908. He was accepted into Suzhou Junior High School at the age of 15, beginning his Chinese and Western music education. After graduating, he entered the National College of Music as a violin major. Wang came to Taiwan in 1949, publishing “The Anthology of Patriotic Songs,” “The Music Dictionary,” “The Chinese Opera Dictionary,” “Themes from Famous Operas,” and “Conducting.” “The Music Dictionary” is considered the first complete music reference book in modern China. Wang contributed a lot to Chinese traditional music as well. Aside from being a great erhu player, his Chinese music compositions also have a distinct style. Wang died in Taipei in 1972.
